As a side project, I run Desert Code, a group of coders who identify as women located the deserts of California. We schedule meetups, teach eachother how to code, and support STEM and STEAM.
I am the web designer and developer for this site. Its purpose is to show a gallery of the different fiber art creations, to provide a place to read her bio, to collect press stories she's received, and give a means to contact her and follow her on social media. The site is easy to update when new pieces are created.
Joshua Tree Candle Co. needed a refresh of their site to align its look with the brand. Colors, fonts, photography standards, home page layout, and interior page designs were all part of the overhaul. I continue to maintain updates to their site.
I took the well established brick and mortar store and gave it an ecommerce life on the web. Building the online shop was a major component to my hiring, and it has been an important source of profit for the local business. I regularly maintain the shop, along with the main website, putting new products, fulfilling orders, adding sales, and updating photography as needed.
I was the web developer lead on this project while employed at a leading local advertising agency.
This was a client of the advertising agency of which I was employed. I was the web developer lead on this project working closely with the design team.
