My love of macrame started before I really knew what it was. Growing up, my mom had hanging macrame planters with pothos vining down the sides. We had macrame owl wall art, and we definitely had more fiber art bordering on the macrame side adorning our home's walls.

Many years later, I wanted to give it a try. I had been invited to a newly forming desert friends craft group, and I needed a craft to bring and do during our first meeting. That's where and when my obsession with creating macrame art took off. I found I really enjoyed it. I was both relaxing and offered tons of room for creativity along with the demands for precision and accuracy to get my pieces to look just right.

My macrame pieces are made in the Mojave Desert. From the colors of the desert to actual pieces of nature, every piece is inspired by the beautiful, fragile, and tough desert I call home.
